The new brochure of the LIFE project "Land for Life" in aid of farmers

24 January.2017

“Sustainable management of pastures for the benefit of farmers and the Imperial Eagle" is the title of the new brochure of the LIFE project "Land for Life." It focuses on the ways in which farmers can help to protect eagles while developing its activities in harmony with nature conservation on their lands.

By demonstrating a model for sustainable management of pastures, the project aims to encourage farmers to maintain diverse mosaic habitats rich in animals, some of which are an important food resource for the Imperial eagles and other rare and endangered species. Protection of biodiversity is compatible with traditional methods of grazing domestic animals and beneficial for both farmers and nature. Additionally, this will increase interest in applying for direct payments, agricultural payments and Natura 2000 payments.

The brochure will be distributed during the informational meetings with farmers and all other project events, as well. It can also be downloaded here.
