The Imperial Eagle family on the Familatlon Online

23 June.2020

The biggest outdoor feast for the whole family is moving online!

For the last 11 years, FAMILATLON has been welcoming thousands of children and parents under the sun of South Park in Sofia. New realities create new opportunities - for the first time, this family holiday will be held online and will give a chance to children and parents across the country to get involved. Over 30 sports clubs, children's workshops, family, and environmental organizations within 9 days from June 27 to July 5 will present online open lessons and discussions on interesting topics.

The Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds will participate as every year, joining the new format with a theme again related to the family, but that of one of the rarest birds on the planet - the Egyptian Vulture and the Imperial Eagle. Join us on June 30 from 2 pm to learn the most interesting facts about the families of the emblematic birds. You will understand why the Egyptian vulture is a symbol of parental care and motherhood in Egypt. Do Imperial Eagles love artificial nests? What are the roles of the male and female birds in the vulture family? How many young eaglets hatch in the spring? Can any of us look into the nest of an Egyptian vulture from home? You will find the answers to many more interesting questions on the BSPB Facebook page:

Nine days and fun for the whole family are waiting for us! See the whole program on the Facebook page of the event:

For more than a decade, FAMILATLON has turned a spring day into a holiday for parents who want to share more moments with their children. FAMILATLON is organized by the Parents Association in partnership with the Academy for Parents.

The open lesson of BSPB is held within the LIFE projects "Egyptian Vulture New LIFE" and "LAND for LIFE".

We are expecting you!
